Description: The use of the olive tree for human health dates back centuries. Diets rich in “olive” type foods have antioxidant benefits which help to reduce free radical damage to the cells of the body. The major active constituent of the Olive Leaf is “Oleuropein”. Oleuropein has shown to have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. It is a key compound found in the Mediterranean diet and major sources are from Olive oil and Olive Leaf Extract.

Oleuropein helps to support cardiovascular system and heart health, including the maintenance of healthy blood lipids and blood vessel dilation. Olea europea has been traditionally used in Western Herbal Medicine to help relieve symptoms of the common cold and also reduce the severity and duration. In traditional Middle Eastern Medicine, it has been used to help relieve mild fevers, coughs and reduce sore throat occurrence.
